Mubasher: QTerminals announced resuming its plan for developing container terminal 2 in the second phase of Hamad Port.
The Qatari firm succeeded in issuing a request for quotation (RFQ) for design, supervision and consulting services as well as a tender for supplying ship-to-shore (STS) and rubber tired gantry (RTG) cranes at Hamad Port, the company said in a statement.
QTerminals was established as an operator of the first phase of Hamad Port in Qatar jointly by Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) and Qatar Navigation (Milaha) owning 51% and 49% stakes in the company, respectively.
In September 2017, the first phase of Hamad Port was officially inaugurated with an annual capacity of 7.5 million of twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs).
