Cairo – Mubasher: The unaudited financial results of Kahira Pharmaceuticals showed a 29.3% year-on-year profit surge during the first half of fiscal year 2019/2020.
Net profits amounted to EGP 56.77 million in the six-month period ended 31 December 2019, compared to EGP 43.9 million in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Monday.
Meanwhile, sales grew to EGP 513.16 million in H1 of FY19/20 from EGP 503.18 million in the corresponding period a year earlier.
It is worth mentioning that during the first quarter of FY19/20, Kahira Pharmaceuticals reported net profits of EGP 25.72 million, down from EGP 31.24 million in the prior-year period.
