Burjeel Holdings scales regional footprint via acquisition in Saudi Arabia

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Burjeel Holdings has fully acquired Specialist Physiotherapy Center, a premier healthcare facility in Makkah at a value of SAR 6.50 million, according to a press release.

Through its subsidiary, Burjeel KSA, the UAE-based group implemented the transaction to widen its footprint in Saudi Arabia. This is in addition to boosting its capabilities to deliver advanced physiotherapy and rehabilitation services.

The acquisition also contributes to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by supporting the healthcare sector’s growth and enhancing its global competitiveness.

The centre, which is located in Makkah, is expected to cater to the needs of Umrah and Hajj pilgrims. It will be integrated into Burjeel's PhysioTherabia network, the fastest-growing and largest physiotherapy and wellness network in the Kingdom.

John Sunil, Group CEO of Burjeel Holdings, commented: “We look forward to enhancing the centre’s capabilities and introducing new services as part of our ongoing efforts to provide innovative and comprehensive care to our patients.”

The ADX-listed group plans to activate new programmes, including pediatric and neuro-rehabilitation services, and introduce advanced technologies, such as a cryo chamber and the David System for physiotherapy.

Last October, Burjeel Holdings launched 11 PhysioTherabia centres in Saudi Arabia to drive global expansion.
